Top Five Accomplishments
1. Commitment to providing continued opportunities for environmental learning during the pandemic. With the bare minimum of staff and increasing numbers of visitors to the park, we quickly pivoted and created a nature video series and new all-outdoor programs.
2. Exciting additions to our Children's Garden including an insect hotel, more native perennials, a colorful hopscotch, and a new garden bed to accommodate more people interested in growing their own vegetables.
3. New, creative, interactive exhibits and displays in our Nature Education Center.
4. Continued strong reputation as a unique and popular destination for school field trips, providing elementary school students with hands-on experiences every spring and fall.
5. Growing community partnerships that include not only an impressive schedule of public programs for children and adults, but also relationships with area universities, civic groups, environmental groups, schools, scouts, and master naturalists.
