1. Provide program materials to Pot Spring Elementary
February 2022
The Green Team faculty leader at Pot Spring contacted Ranger Anne to request supplies for a scat program. (She had seen Ranger Anne's scat program at CVP with her own child.) Ranger Anne supplied books, outrageous facts about scat, rubber scat molds, recipes for brown playdough and edible scat, and laminated pictures of animals to match with scat. The lesson was a big hit!

2. Provide curriculum resources to Riderwood Elementary
January 2022
Ranger Anne is a substitute teacher at Riderwood on occasion, particularly in the classrooms with children who are non-verbal. She discussed with the teachers different ideas for "sensory time" and offered to bring in some safe sensory objects from the CVP Nature Center. As shown in the pictures below, the children stroked fox and raccoon pelts, examined snake skins, shook gourd maracas, and felt the softness of feathers against their skin. The children were so focused and interested that the teachers asked Ranger Anne to bring in more items during her next subbing stint!

3. Provide program materials to Hampton and Riderwood Elementary
2018-19
Through the Towson Recreation Department, Ranger Anne ran 6-week after-school programs at Hampton and Riderwood called "Nature Kids." She used her resources from CVP -- mounted animals, live animals, animal stamps -- to provide fun, hands-on interactive nature programs.
