2. Summer Camps
Annual
9 weekly sessions each summer
Each year, over 450 children ages 4-13 enjoy hiking, stream walking, crafting, and making friends at our summer camps. Along the way, they learn about bees, Native Americans, gardening, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and lots of other environmental topics.

3. School Field Trips
CVP hosts over 2000 school children every season as they ramble through our streams, fields, gardens and woodlands -- all the while fulfilling their schools' curriculum and environmental literacy requirements. We pride ourselves on the authentic, hands-on experience that our field trips provide. Field trip topics include:

Our most popular field trip is the Fall Harvest, during which schoolchildren experience first-hand how fall crops become our food, using authentic tools from the turn of the century.

CVP provides internship opportunities for high school students. Some interns learn how to care for animals in the nature center, while others assist at summer camp. As part of Notre Dame Prep's "WINternship" program in 2021, Lucy (shown here) worked on website enhancements and social media postings, and took digital photography images throughout the park for our marketing efforts.
